The Owners & 'Minions'

Those who are lucky enough to work at Enigmas are called 'Minions' because they are here to do our bidding. Just as if they were elementals summoned by a strong wizard in D&D we have to treat our 'Minions' right because they have a tendency to bite back.


Diana Burlin Regular who has become extended family with a sleeping Director of Childrens' Activities in her arms. Diane plays D&D and is a cut up that keeps you laughing and joy to know.	David Burlin Diana's son and an avid D&D RPG and Miniatures player.	Chris Trevino Another member of the extended family, Chris is best described as a jovial dwarf whose laughter is infectious. He is the DCI Tournament Organizer and RPGA GM for Enigmas. His D&D games are always an adventure in social gaming.


Mary Lanford Mary is a long-time family friend of the owners and has come to be loved by most everyone who comes to Enigmas. She plays Magic, D&D, and Battletech. Mary currently is at home recovering from severe illness and is doing well. She hopes to back playing again soon.	Troy Whitfield Troy mainly plays Battletech, which he runs every other Sunday, but has also dabbled in D&D. He is a country boy and a good cut up, who likes to torture Minion Emily with his country music.	Sean Williams Sean is a teacher and is the GM for Mechwarrior. He is easy going and a lot of fun to game with. Not to mention he makes delicious cookies too.


Liz Sanchez Cute, Funny, and a Gamer! Diana's sister and another extended family member. With Liz around, the table is never far from cracking up!	Glen Don't be spooked, its just Glen. He is an enigmatic individual that enjoys obscure games, thinking outside the box, and making game masters' lives extremely interesting.	Ned Vail A Dungeons & Dragons player, Ned is another member of the Enigmas family. He is one of those RPGers you want IN your party.


Ted Mintte A RPGer who loves the theater and music. Ted is an all around Awesome Guy!	Jeff Jeff is a social regular. He doesn't always play, but we always get into intellectually stimulating conversations with him. He is also the local MIB for Steve Jackson Games.	Gene Miles-Hickman Gene is a RPGer who gives and gets good laughs, and is always a good addition to any game.


Walter Experienced RPGer who has found a new family at Enigmas. We are honored to have such an excellent player and friend.	Zach Fast becoming family, Zach is a college student who plays Dungeons & Dragons and Battletech. He has a twisted, but funny, sense of humor that you can certainly see in his D&D characters.	Gary A recent addition to the regulars, Gary plays Dungeons & Dragons and Magic. He has also begun a weekly Ebberon Campaign which he GMs excellently.


KC Palmer KC is a cool cat to play and joke with. Another recent addition to the regulars, he is a fast learner who plays Magic, Yu Gi Oh, and is learning Dungeons & Dragons.	Osiel "Ozzy" This lucky man is Liz's husband and has also found a home at Enigmas. He is fun to play and joke with. Ozzy plays D&D Minis and occasionally D&D RPG.	Micheal Penrod "Shop kid" who loves to play Magic and enjoys trying out board and card games. Sweet guy who has found a home at Enigmas.


Kirk Dalton A regular at Enigmas since we opened in December 2003, Kirk is a master at Magic, D&D Minis, and other games, yet he is a joy to play and talk with. Kirk is a fair and gracious player who is willing to teach other players tips or even basic rules.	Kevin Kevin plays D&D RPG and always makes the party interesting. He can be quiet, but he's just waiting for the right moment. Sadly he will be moving to North Carolina soon and we will miss him. We hope he finds a good gaming home up there. Good Luck!	John Another original "shop kid," John plays mostly Magic. He is great kid with a wonderful attitude, and our daughter absolutely loves him.


Cory Brown What can be said of Cory? Except that he lives in his own little world. But that's okay, we know him there :) Cory, another regular since we opened, plays a mix of RPGs, miniatures, CCGs, & boardgames. An all around player who is fun to talk with as well as play.	Jason Baumgartner An ex-Squid, Jason is a often a one man army in his games and will take you by surprise. He plays D&D and will be running the World's Largest City game when the book is released.	Jayson West Hands down, the kid's quick. He'll shark you at cards & is currently burning his way up through the ranks of D&D.


Chris Matthews Don't give him SUGAR! He bounces enough as it is. Even without the brakes Chris plays a mean game of D&D. A good kid that we're proud to call a regular.	Bryan Pieper Jeff's big brudder and middle of the pied trio. Bryan, like his brothers, is an original shop kid, who excels at Magic, D&D, and anything he puts his mind to.	Joe Not your everyday, average Joe. He has been playing Magic for years and is a long time friend. But watch out, his life gainer deck is nasty.


Isaac Mackey Isaac is an avid Star Wars Minis collector, who plays when he has the time. Isaac is an easy going individual who makes friends quickly.	Jennifer Palisin Jennifer more or less comes in for the conversation, in which we happily indulge. She is witty and intelligent with a wonderful humor to back it up. Not to mention she has a beautiful singing voice.	Boyd Reynolds Boyd has played many games over the years, but has proven to be a die-hard Mechwarrior player.


Brandon Johnson Brandon plays Magic and is a FNM regular.	Jeremy An avid Magic player and FNM regular, Jeremy is always looking to play a game.	Daniel Schwartz A regular from our first year, Daniel tries to come by when he has the time.


Jared Gillow We've known Jared since he was at least 5, and we can say that he got his gaming genes from his mom, Tina. Jared plays Magic, D&D, Call of Cthulhu, and more. He's a great guy with a sharp sense of humor that makes him a perfect addition to Enigmas Family.	Andrew Burton An original regular of Enigmas, Andrew plays and GMs D&D. He currently resides in Pearland and still makes a regular pilgrimage to North Houston to spend time gaming with us. Thanks Andrew! We would miss your D&D characters and scenarios.	David Littrell A Gregarious and downright enjoyable gamer, that we do not seem to see enough of, enjoys D&D, Battletch, Serenity and anything else that he can cause trouble in.

Shop Kids

The regulars photos wouldn't be complete without the shop kids. The regulars here range in age from tweens to grandparents and so we have made a space for the younger children to have their own play area. This way parents can come and play without hiring babysitters and feeling guilty for not spending time with their kids.

Candid Camera

People have nifty toys today...like camera phones. And at a place like Enigmas, where gaming is always a social event...well, let's just say there's always something to capture. Sometimes we miss and sometimes we don't. These are the ones we "caught." So be fore warned, there are people "armed" and ready to "shoot" should the comic opportunity arise.
