Ernest Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons Role Playing Game passed away at the age of 69 to natural causes. He died as most gamers would want - in the basement cooking up something vile to throw at a party of unsuspecting Pc's. We will miss this creative icon, but will gladly play the game he helped make a world wide phenom in his, and all of the other friends that are no longer here to share a table with us memories. Thanks Mr. Gygax, and sleep well!

10/28/2007 D&D Game Day Nov 3rd!!!! It is almost here! The second anual Dungeons and Dragons World Wide Game Day is promising to be a lot of fun this year. Currently, we have 6 DM's slated to run the special module that wizards prepared for the event, and two Dungeon Masters that are writing thier own adventures. Sessions start at 11 am, and go thoughout the day. Most importantly, Wizards of the Coast (The publishers of Dungeons and Dragons RPG) have sent us kits filled with everything we need for the module games. Each player recieves a small treasure boz filled with the figure, character sheet, a pencil and a 20 sided dice, everything you need to run that character. Not to mention that in true Wizards fashion, the kits also included the complete module, with suggestions for carrying on the adventure, as well as all of the figures and maps needed for all of our sessions. The two custom written games will also have pregenerated characters, and will be geared for more advanced play. More to follow, so stay tuned!! |
10/28/2007 Slight Delays... Sorry Folks, we were having so much fun with October that we are a little behind on the November calendar. News, events, releases and a whole lot more, so stay tuned. |

This year's D&D Game Day has our adventurers visiting Icewind Dale, home of the legendary Drizzt. We will have six games for the event, and if we're lucky perhaps 6 more. DM seats are availiable. If you've never DMed or DMing a game has intimidated you in the past, then this will be perfect! Each kit includes a game module with pre-made characters, miniatures, map, and dice. Everything you need. And don't forget Enigmas always holds a DMs Only Game the night before Game Day for the DMs to play the module themselves. So contact us at 281.251.7100 or engimasonline@sbcglobal.net to reserve a DM seat or adventurer seat today. |

M:tG Gold Tier Tourney a Success! |
Congratulations to Hu Haibing, this year's 1st Place Winner of Houston's only M:tG Gold-Tier Tourney. Hope you enjoy the Duffel bag and your box of Lorwyn. The Tournament was a blast!!! Sorry that we have no pictures availiable, but the camera had a schizoid episode the morning of the event and has been on mental leave since. But take my word for it, the event was the best in town. We finally locked up at 3:30am. Thanks to all the Players who came out and made this an awesome event. Thanks also go out to our local businesses who supported the event with door prizes; Panera, Red Robin, El Corral, Laugh Spot, Valley Ranch, Play-N-Trade, Jones Soda Co., Boudreauxs, Hooters, and of course Wizards of the Coast. |

New games need players, and a few old ones too! |
Call of Cthulhu - Lindsey Halpin Call of Cthulhu - GM Lindsey Halpin is looking for a few more
adventurous souls to brave the horrors that the old ones wish to
visit on this world. This is Linsey's first full foray into
game mastering, and from the charactor generation session last
week, she has things well in tenticle.. err..
hand. *Grins* Come check it out every other Thursday,
with the next session scheduled for May 25, 2007! |
Hackmaster! - GM Skeets A new GM to the shop, Skeets is looking to add to his Hackmaster
crue for fun and skull bashing. Hackmaster is a tongue and
cheek game styled after the classic Dungeons and Dragons RPG, and
has been known to cause laughing, guffaws, groans, and bouts of
punishing dice in a freezer for rolling poorly when facing a dragon
angered by draconic maladies that would choke a proctologist.
Face it folks, Hackmaster is fun! For more information on
'Skeetscon '07, email tha GM at jambolism@gmail.com |
The summer is fast approaching, and we are ready for it! Recently, Enigmas added a new AC unit, and boy does it cool this
place down. Also, when the temps get above 90 degrees
outside, the bottled water becomes free to the thirsty and
dehydrated. So, if it is hot outside, you can bet that it is
cool @ Enigmas |
A 'Mech baching good time! Troy's Battletech game is still going, and there is always room
for more. Battletech is a futuristic board/ rpg game that has
been around for nearly 20 years now. This is the game that
spawned the Wizkids game "Mechwarrior", a clix based simplified
version of the star spanning classic. For details, drop Troy
a line on his email, listed in the gamesmaster's section. |
More
to come, so stay tuned! |
