And now, the moment most of us have been dreading or hoping for....
Yeah, so much for fanfare.
Will Here, hackerpuppy (aka Book) has Ruefio conered in, well, a corner and I am where I am supposed to be - oyut in front. So, lets jump to the important stuff, shall we?
Let me preface this with a little background information. Kass, myself, Becca and the dogs have a standing invitation to move to Tucson AZ to start over from scratch. This means I get a real job, Kass cashing in on her new degree (Seems they need Teachers in AZ as much as here.), me being able to show Rebecca the mountains around Tucson that I explored with my Grandmother, and possibly going back to school. (UofA has a great geology and astronomy center, and I've been looking out of the campus telescope since I was 12.) What you will not see is an Enigmas Collectables inTucson, or here in Houston for that matter. This is not my favorite choice, even though anyone would be hard pressed to think it is a bad choice - the opposite, it is a great choice, and I do have family in Tucson.
Let's face it, there are more than enough diehard regulars of Enigmas to justify me attempting to continue on, and keep this store alive and open. Various folks have helped with love, support, and cold hard cash, but with me at the helm it seems to have been wasted. One of the ideas I have been flirting with is having someone take over this shop - that's right, in order to save Enigmas, Will is willing (no pun at all!!) to walk away from it IF the right person takes it over. With the knowledge that Enigmas will stay open for the folks that truely make it what it is, I could take a few years, rebuild myself and family, and just maybe buy it back from whomever takes it when they get ready to move on.
So, in a nutshell: No, I do not intent to close.
Yes, I really need help!
Things are not so far gone that Enigmas is unsalvageable - on the contrary! Off the top of my head I can think of 50 living, breathing reasons to keep enigmas open.
More soon this week, as i begin to lay out the foundations that need to be rebuilt for this shop to continue.
